Windows 8 release date: October 26, 2012

According to Steven Sinofsky, the president of Windows and Windows Live Division at Microsoft, Windows 8 will be shipped and released to retailers by October 26th, 2012.

The announcement was made during Microsoft's annual sales event and confirmed in the company's blog.

It's not clear whether Mictosoft Surface (Microsoft's newest response to Appl's iPAD) will be released by the same date or not at this stage.

WebsitePanel Modern theme template (Clean & Simple)

This theme was designed for the leading windows hosting control panel: WebsitePanel. It was designed using WebsitePanel Skin Designer Tool Kit (thanks Kenneth truyers) . I tried to make the theme template clean, simple and modern. All replacement icons and images used in this theme were borrowed from iconfinder.com.

Installation instructions:

1. Login to your server using an administrator account
2. Download the zip file
3. unzip the zip file to extract it's content.
4. Copy all the files and folders and paste them in the following location: c:\Websitepanel\Portal\
5. Windows will ask you if you want to merge the folders, click Yes.
6. Windows will ask you if you want to replace the files, select "Move and Replace".
7. To replace the "Modern Theme" logo with your own company logo, replace the file named "logo.png" which is located in C:\Websitepanel\Portal\App_Themes\modern-theme\Images\" with your own company logo. the dimensions of the logo should not exceed "260x74 pixels" and it should be in a transparent PNG format.
8. That's it. The Modern theme template has been installed. Now login to websitepanel and you should see the new theme installed.
